Stewardship is utilizing and managing God’s resources for the glory of
God and the betterment of His creation. Being a good steward in this world is a way of
expressing our gratitude and love for God. Giving not only helps our church community flourish,
but it also brings blessings into our lives.
“Whoever sows sparingly will reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will reap bountifully.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
“God loves a cheerful giver, so give voluntarily and not reluctantly or under compulsion.”
2 Corinthians 9:8.
God also loves a generous giver, so give from the heart and give for the Glory of God.
“You will be enriched in every way for great generosity, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.”
2 Corinthians 9:12.
A pledge card indicates your estimated commitment to give over the next year for the church’s operating budget. Consider this the church’s checking account for ordinary expenses like clergy and staff, property maintenance and repairs, utilities, ministries and administrative expenses.
In an effort to save resources (paper, envelopes, printing, postage and labor) we are encouraging our parishioners to submit their annual pledge cards using their phone or other electronic device through our website. We have a gift for those who complete their pledge card on our website no later than Stewardship Sunday! Thank you for doing this early so that we may have more time to prepare the church’s operating budget for next year.
Our Vestry will work hard to allocate your donations to provide for our staff, care of our buildings, grounds and outreach. We invite all of you to join in God's work of stewardship and spiritual accountability. We appreciate your gifts of time, talent and treasure.
We are grateful for everything we have accomplished in 2025, and for what we look forward to accomplishing in 2026!
At St. Michael's, on September 28, 2025, we celebrated Stewardship Sunday. We enjoyed a picnic feast in honor of our namesake, Michael the Archangel, the protector and leader of the heavenly armies.*
Michaelmas, or The Feast of Michael and All Angels, signifies the end of the harvest, the start of autumn and the beginning of the shorter days. An annual feast day in the calendar of the Western Christian Church, Michaelmas is celebrated on September 29th.
