Job Opening: Youth Ministry Coordinator
Position Status: 20 hours/week
Compensation: $15-20 /hour
Position Description: The Youth Ministry Coordinator will primarily serve as an assistant to the youth director and youth board (volunteers), and occasionally assist in other ministry functions in the parish as needed. A good candidate has an active faith, is able to teach spiritual and Biblical matters, and will be a good leader and role model to the young adults and children in the church.
Skills Needed: Leadership, Organization, Simple Graphic Design (posters, flyers, etc), Social Media
Experience Desired: High School Graduate (or equivalent) minimum, Church Youth Group Experience (as a leader and/or participant).

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Youth Director and LIFT Board (Living In Faith Together: the name of our youth program)
- Sending out and collecting registration/permission slips (email)
- Making flyers for special events
- Help with follow-up emails/calls to finalize attendance and headcount
- Keep Youth House organized and ready for youth events
- Take pictures at events and create a “Pictures Wall”
- Attend LIFT special events including:
- Pumpkin unloading
- Fall Fun Fling
- Present Palooza
- Movie Nights
- Good Friday service day
- Spring Palooza
- Attend monthly LIFT board meetings (2nd Tuesday evensong of every month, 7pm)
- Attend LIFT Sunday meetings
- Substitute for Youth Director when needed
- Attend weekly staff meetings (Hybrid meetings both in person and over zoom)
- Participate and assist in the planning of parish wide events
- When not directly involved with youth activities and lessons, help other church staff and volunteers to plan and prepare for parish-wide events
