A Place in the Choir
Dear Friends,
The St. Michaels Music program is off to a great start and we still have room for more! Come take your place in the choir with one of our many musical groups.
The children will be singing a rollicking song about All God’s creatures having ‘A place in the choir ‘on Sunday October 3, to celebrate the Blessing of the Animals. They are singing together each week before Sunday school in the undercroft from 9:40-10:00am so please be sure to drop them off early and enjoy a cup coffee before church!
The Intergenerational Bell Choir meets on Saturdays 9:15-10:05am and plays about once every 6 weeks. It is a great opportunity for parents or grandparents to make music with their kids/grandkids. We learn about rhythms and counting and have bells of all sizes for you to try. Bell choir is a great place for a beginner or advanced musician.
Adult Choir has started their fall rehearsal sequence, meeting on Thursdays from 6:30-8pm and Sunday mornings 9:15-9:45am. We are especially looking to welcome new members. If you are someone who desperately missed singing through the covid-tide (or even if your singing is normally confined to the shower!), please consider joining us. We are currently preparing a requiem service Nov 7th, Lessons and Carols December 5th, and special music for Christmas eve services. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, All joyful sounds welcome!
Are there any early bird singers or musicians out there with a desire to see more special music offerings in the 8:00am service? I am happy to support additional music ministries and events. Bring me your ideas!
