Annual Meeting

Sunday, January 28 starting at 11:15 a.m.

We'll begin with a light lunch in the Community Room.

Desserts will be served at an Open House at the Rectory.

Childcare, lunch and activities for elementary school children will be offered during the meeting downstairs in the undercroft.  Contact Julie Allord with questions or needs.

Parish Annual Meeting FAQs:


What is it? The Annual Meeting is the once-a-year business meeting of the parish. We: 

     + Elect Wardens and Vestry members

     + Note achievements for the past year and hopes for the coming year.

     + Share our financial condition and look at the budget for the year ahead.

     + Provide a public forum for sharing concerns, praises, observations and questions.


Who goes to the Annual meeting? We hope for a full Community Room! If you take part in the worship and ministry of St. Michael’s, you’re considered an active member and if you’re at least 16-years-old you are eligible to vote. Printed copy of our best-guess ‘voting members’ list is available for review at the parish office.


Who is to be elected? The slate of candidates approved by the Vestry is printed above.


Are absentee ballots available? Yes. Contact Parish Administrator Nancy Holmes, or (847) 381-2323 x11.


What about the budget?  By church canon, the Vestry has the responsibility for approving the annual operating budget.  The budget approved by the Vestry will be presented at the annual meeting with an opportunity for comments and questions.
