I am running for Senior Warden in 2024. Sue and I became members at St. Michaels soon after moving back to Barrington in 1994. We have raised 3 children at St. Michaels, and now enjoy being grandparents.

At St. Michaels, I have served on the Vestry for a 4-year term, and have been involved in Building and Grounds, Outreach. I was honored to be commissioned as St. Michaels 2nd Verger in 2023, and have enjoyed serving during the services. I look forward to continuing to serve. To quote from Jessies first sermon at St. Michaels, I believe “The local church is the hope of the world? “. The people of St. Michaels take action on this hope every day, and I look forward to the opportunity to be Senior Warden.

Outside of St. Michael’s, I am recently retired from a Sales / Marketing career, and enjoy cycling, working out, and traveling.

I am excited to be running for the position of Junior Warden in 2024.  My children and I have been a part of St. Michael's since 2011.  In addition to belonging to the women’s bible study group, I serve on the funeral reception ministry and the communion bread-baking ministry. When they are home from college, my children enjoy sharing their music with the church (Austin: violin, Tyler: double bass, and Lauren: cello).  I am looking forward to the opportunity to serve in a leadership role and to bring a fresh perspective to the vestry.  Outside of St. Michael's, I work as an attorney and I enjoy gardening and kayaking.

My wife Betty and I have been members of St. Michael's since 1991. Together we have served as the Membership Committee (1993-1995) and leaders of the St. Michael's 50th Anniversary 1 year Celebration of 1997. I have served as a leader and guide for our Youth Group from 1991 until 2023.I am honored to be considered for a Vestry position for our Parish.

Amy Hoff, Vestry Candidate

I have been attending St. Michael’s since August 2022, shortly after my family moved to the area from Houston, TX. Most of my work at St. Michael’s has been behind the scenes: I conducted a staffing and compensation review for Jesse and the vestry; coordinated the search for the new Director of Little Angels; and serve on the Vision Committee. I have also been a part of the Outreach committee, the Peace and Justice committee, Tuesday morning Bible study, the book club, Foyers, and the bread ministry here at St. Michael’s. While in Texas I was a longtime member of St. Thomas the Apostle, serving on the vestry, Vice President of ECW, coordinated the Progressive Dinner, Altar Guild, the bread ministry, and Daughters of the King.

I have a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development and worked as a Human Resources Director prior to leaving the workforce to stay home with our children full time. My husband, Matthew, and I have two children: Julia, 22, is halfway through law school at the University of Wisconsin in Madison; Spencer,19, still lives in Texas, but we are hopeful that he will be joining us here in Illinois In 2024.

In my spare time I love cooking, traveling, enjoying a nice cup of tea or glass of wine, playing board games and reading.

I am running for a 3 year vestry term and look forward to collaborating with the other vestry members in service of St. Michael’s.

The sense of community and serendipity drove the return to Barrington with Jeff’s family.

The great friends and clergy with whom the Tolles have been a part has made the experience one of personal and spiritual growth. Jeff and Judy have been in commercial interior furnishings sales for over thirty years. The two have covered business development in the Midwest and western United States. Jeff brings a calm, honest and thoughtful approach to his personal and business dealings.  He is persistent and a doer. A right brain thinker, Jeff’s hobbies include acting, drawing and playing music in a garage band.

Jeff Is humbled to be considered for a 3 year term with the St. Michaels vestry.
