Barrington Area Moms Demand Action targets State legislatures, Federal legislatures,
educational institutions and faith communities in order to establish common sense gun
reforms. We are a not-for-profit, non-partisan organization that supports the 2nd
Amendment.
We have invited St. Michael’s Barrington along with other area churches to participate
in our gun violence awareness weekend (otherwise known as Wear Orange).
On Saturday, June 2nd, the Village of Barrington (including local businesses and faith
communities) will participate in the “Wear Orange” event in support of those whose
lives have been impacted by gun violence and support for gun violence prevention.
Stop and get your Wear Orange sticker and pose with our orange props for a photo to
post on social media. There will be a Wear Orange photo booth at Jewel/Osco Barrington.
On Sunday, June 3rd, St. Michael’s a Peace and Justice committee member and a
member of Mom’s Demand Action will be outside the Community Room following the
10 o’clock service with informational materials and an opportunity for discussion. I
hope you will join us for BAMDA Wear Orange weekend.
