Advent Begins with a Festive Flair

Advent Adult Formation: “Preparing for Today, from Yesterday”

Sundays, December 2, 9, 16, & 23

9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in St. Michael's Conference Room

Explore how our yesterday shapes our today.

We will be looking at the 39Articles (written by Thomas Cranmer, in the mid-16th century, as a foundational document to the Anglican faith), and seeing how they are still relevant for our lives and the Church today.

All Parish Advent I Gathering

Sunday, December 2

in the Community Room after the 10:00 a.m. service.

Join us for a time of fellowship and fun, as St. Michael's gathers to make Advent Wreaths.

An Advent Wreath is a devotional tool - a way to visually pray through the season of Advent. Made from greens, an Advent Wreath includes four candles, one for each Sunday of Advent. Each week, the appropriate number of candles are lit, and prayers are offered, in anticipation of Christmas and the birth of Christ.

We will have all the supplies, we just need you. Families, couples, and singles are welcome.

Lunch is also provided, so if you don't want to make an Advent Wreath, at least come for the food.  AND please click here to let us know if you're coming for wreath making and/or lunch so we can plan accordingly.

ADVENT LESSONS & CAROLS

Sunday, December 2 at 5:00 p.m.

This traditional Anglican service weaves together readings, hymns and choir music as it tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus.  We especially welcome all guests this evening.

Come and join in this Advent celebration.

Sing the songs glorifying the Creator of the world.

Hear the story of the creation of humankind and their fall into sin.

Listen to the ancient words foretelling the coming of Immanuel.
