Individuals who are caregivers or want to improve their pastoral care skills are invited to consider the Spiritual Care Visitor Training Program offered by Bishop Anderson House. This training equips spiritual care visitors with skills for effectively and competently providing pastoral care to sick, lonely, stressed and grieving people.
Hosted by Redeemer, Lutheran in Hinsdale, the fall session runs Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. from September 9 to November 11. Students are recommended to the program by a clergy or professional chaplain, and in conjunction with that supervisor, determine a field education site for volunteering 2 hours each week during the course.
