If you are considering being confirmed as an adult, reaffirming your baptismal vows or simply interested in learning about the Episcopal church, a 3 session Adult Inquirers Class will be held starting March 5, the first Sunday in Lent. The class will meet March 5, March 12 and March 19 from 11:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. in the library. A continental breakfast will be provided for participants.
Our reading resource is the book, Your Faith, Your Life, by Jennifer Gamber. Copies will be available in our church bookstore. This everything you need to know guide to the Episcopal church is an engaging way to understand the history of our church, the language of worship and church structure, the meaning of the sacraments and how to become points of God's presence in this world both as individuals and communities of faith. Adult participants will have the opportunity to be confirmed by the Bishop late Spring if desired. The sessions will be facilitated by the Reverend Betsy Ward and Deacon Laurie Michaels. It is not necessary to attend all 3 sessions. The book will serve as a resource for participants but the format of the sessions will be conversational in style based on the needs and questions of the group.
